What does DadDad say?

The other day Tye was looking at his farm book and pointing at all the animals and telling me what they say. So when we came to the page that has "DadDad" driving the tractor, I asked him what DadDad says, and to my delight he said, "Hello Fattie Man".

Celebrating at the Zoo

We had a party week! It seemed like one after the other. Tye turned two on April 7th. I was feeling really sad because I realized after I put my baby to bed on April 6th that I didn't get a picture of him on his last day of being a one-year-old. Thankfully Aram suggested I go take a picture of him even though he was asleep. It made me feel much better. So here is a picture of my little Tye-Tye on his last night of being one.

When he woke up the next morning, Aram and I went into his room. I had the camcorder and we were singing "Happy Birthday to You!" He couldn't figure out what was going on, but apparently he was ready for his birthday because he had taken off his diaper and pants and was in his "birthday suit".

He was so excited when he came downstairs and saw his presents. He kept saying "Happy Birfday!" I finally had to hide the presents because he would not stay away from them.

We checked the kids out of school early and went to the zoo to celebrate. It was really fun. Tye loves animals and loved looking at all of them. We rode the train and went to the petting zoo. There were way too many cute pictures to post here so I will post them on my shutterfly page. http://www.autryfamily.shutterfly.com/. If you want to see them just email me and I'll give you the password.

So after the zoo we picked up dinner and headed back home. Tye loved opening up his presents and was so much fun to watch. Especially when he would say, "I lub it!" He was a little bit scared to blow out his candles at first, but after we showed him how to do it a few times he couldn't get enough of it. He had a dinosaur cake, which looked a little bit funny, but he liked it. It was a wonderful day spent with so many people we love. We are blessed.

11 Years Old!

Caleb turned 11 on April 2nd. He choose chocolate chip muffins for his birthday breakfast and then I made him pose in the front yard for his birthday picture. I always make him hold up his fingers to show how old he is, but this year he ran out of fingers. So he had to lift up one leg too. Then it was off to school. Later that day I brought Krispy Kreme's to his class and Arby's for lunch. That was a trick. Trying to balance two boxes of doughnuts, a bag of food, a drink, and keep a hold of Tye. Not to mention, Tye is trying to get to the doughnuts the whole time. I amost dropped everything when I tried to open the doors to the office. Anyway...Later that night we had a family party and went to dinner at Chili's. Then home for presents and cake (actually cheesecake or pie...Caleb isn't a fan of cake). Caleb FINALLY got a cellphone. (He's been telling us FOREVER that ALL his friends have one.) He was so excited. It was a really fun day!

They got tired of waiting for the check at Chili's

Taylor's Happy 16th Birthday Weekend

So we packed up early and headed to California. That night we went to Phantom of the Opera, which was AMAZING! The next day we went to Disneyland and California Adventure. We had such a great time just being to together. Poor Amy was eight months pregnant, so we made her be wheeled around in a wheelchair the whole time we were at Disneyland. (Hey, she had to take one for the team. We got to get on the rides quicker.) She actually ended up having her baby two weeks later. So it's a good thing she was in a wheelchair or she may have ended up having her baby right there at Disneyland. Man, I bet we would have gotten a special VIP pass if that would have happened. :) Oh well...

Anyway, it was a wonderful weekend and I am so thankful to my wonderful, behind the scenes sweetie, who stayed home with Tye and Caleb to make it all happen. Poor Caleb was sad to be left behind just because he was a boy. I'll have to make it up to him somehow.

Here are some of our pictures from our adventure...

Taylor's Surprise!

Taylor turned 16 on February 19th. I really wanted to surprise her with a very special and memorable birthday. So this is what we did...My sister Crystal and her daughter, Makaylee secretly flew in to Phoenix. The night before her birthday, while she was at her choir concert, (I snuck away after her performance) we decorated the house with a Hollywood theme and got into our masquerade masks. When she walked in the door we blasted Phantom of the Opera music and yelled "Surprise!" After she recovered and gave everyone hugs, we surprised her with the news. We were going to Hollywood in the morning for a girls weekend to celebrate her birthday and to see Phantom of the Opera at the Pantages Theatre. She was thrilled! It was such a great night with so many fun surprises.

Us...

I decided to create a blog as a way to share with my family members (near and far) special things that are going on with our family.
Plus, I love to take pictures of everything we do, (as many of you know):) and now I can share them with you all.
